Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily shipping activities including order processing, documentation preparation, and carrier scheduling
- Monitor shipment status proactively and resolve transit delays through carrier negotiations
- Maintain accurate inventory records and implement cycle counting procedures
- Optimize freight routing to minimize costs while ensuring on-time delivery
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations, hazardous materials handling, and trade compliance
- Collaborate with warehouse teams to prioritize loading/unloading operations
- Generate shipping reports and performance metrics for continuous improvement
- Act as primary point of contact for clients regarding shipment status and inquiries
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in logistics, shipping coordination, or supply chain management
- Proficiency in WMS/TMS systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and MS Office Suite
- Certified in hazardous materials handling (DOT 49 CFR) and customs brokerage (optional)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex shipping data
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities in high-pressure environments
- Excellent communication skills with cross-cultural awareness
- Detail-oriented with proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred
