Responsibilities
- Coordinate inbound/outbound shipments via air, rail, and ground carriers
- Manage documentation (BOLs, customs forms, commercial invoices)
- Optimize routes using TMS software to reduce transit times
- Resolve shipment delays through proactive carrier communication
- Collaborate with warehouse teams for efficient dock scheduling
- Track KPIs: on-time delivery, freight costs, and exception rates
Qualifications
- 3+ years in shipping/freight coordination experience
- Proficiency in TMS platforms (e.g., Oracle, SAP) and EDI systems
- Certified in hazardous materials handling (DOT 49 CFR)
- Strong negotiation skills with LTL carriers
- Associate degree in Supply Chain or related field
- Advanced Excel skills for rate analysis
