Responsibilities
- Manage Shipping Operations: Coordinate domestic and international freight, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries while adhering to safety standards.
- Documentation: Prepare, review, and process shipping documents, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and customs paperwork accurately.
- Carrier Communication: Liaise with 3PLs, trucking companies, and freight forwarders to resolve issues and optimize shipping routes.
- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels and assist in warehouse organization to streamline the shipping process and reduce errors.
- Problem Solving: Troubleshoot shipping delays and logistical challenges with a focus on maintaining high customer satisfaction.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of shipping data and generate performance reports for management analysis.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in logistics, supply chain, or freight forwarding is preferred.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Business or Logistics is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on clarity and professionalism.
- Organization: Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Problem-Solving: Proactive approach to identifying and resolving logistical bottlenecks.
