Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery and optimal routing.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, vendors, and internal departments to resolve shipping discrepancies and delays.
- Maintain accurate records of shipping logs, manifests, and delivery statuses within our ERP system.
- Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading, invoices, and customs paperwork.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure stock availability for orders.
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints regarding shipping errors or lost packages.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies regarding hazardous materials and transportation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics coordination.
- Proficiency with transportation management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Manhattan) or strong aptitude for learning new systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate with carriers.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for calculating shipping costs, weights, and dimensions accurately.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime during peak seasons.
