Responsibilities
- Coordinate domestic/international shipments across 15+ countries using SAP and Oracle TMS systems
- Manage customs documentation (CBP, FDA, EPA) ensuring 100% compliance
- Optimize freight routes reducing carbon footprint by 20% annually
- Collaborate with 3PL partners to resolve delivery exceptions within 4-hour SLA
- Track KPIs: OTD, cost-per-shipment, and carrier performance metrics
- Train junior staff on Incoterms 2020 and hazardous material handling
- Implement continuous process improvements using Lean Six Sigma methodologies
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in freight forwarding or logistics coordination
- Certified Customs Broker (CBP) or CSCP preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Strong negotiation skills with carriers (LTL, FTL, Ocean, Air)
- Knowledge of IMO/DOT hazardous materials regulations
- BA/BS in Supply Chain Management or related field
- Experience with cold chain logistics for pharmaceuticals
- Spanish language proficiency required for Latin American routes
