Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule inbound and outbound freight shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Prepare and verify shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, drivers, and internal teams to resolve shipping discrepancies.
- Track shipments in real-time systems and provide status updates to customers.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal shipping regulations and safety standards.
- Manage inventory levels for shipping materials and maintain organized records.
- Assist in troubleshooting shipping delays and identifying process improvements.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Logistics or Supply Chain is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics coordination.
- Proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods when necessary.
- Valid Driver's License preferred.
