Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end shipping processes, including documentation, carrier selection, and customs clearance
- Optimize freight routes and negotiate carrier contracts to minimize costs while maintaining service levels
- Track shipments in real-time using TMS platforms and proactively resolve transit delays
- Collaborate with warehouse, sales, and customer service teams to ensure shipment accuracy
- Manage inventory levels and coordinate cross-docking operations for efficient distribution
- Generate shipping reports and KPI dashboards for continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with DOT, IATA, and international shipping regulations
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in shipping coordination, logistics, or supply chain management
- Proficiency with TMS software (e.g., Oracle, Manhattan Associates, or SAP)
- Strong knowledge of LTL/FTL shipping, hazardous materials handling, and customs documentation
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot complex shipment issues
- Detail-oriented with proven ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with carriers, clients, and internal teams
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in logistics preferred
- Forklift certification and hazmat endorsement a plus
