Responsibilities
- Manage the daily scheduling and dispatching of inbound and outbound freight.
- Verify shipment contents, calculate shipping costs, and prepare accurate bills of lading.
- Collaborate with third-party carriers and internal teams to resolve shipping delays and logistical issues.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of all shipments using our ERP software.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Assist in inventory control and stock organization as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Logistics or Supply Chain preferred.
- 1-3 years of verifiable experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate with vendors.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods in a warehouse setting.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
