Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule domestic and international freight shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Prepare and verify shipping documents, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and customs declarations.
- Track shipments in real-time and proactively resolve any logistical issues or delays.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, warehouse staff, and clients to ensure alignment.
- Maintain accurate records of shipping activities and inventory levels.
- Assist in the management of carrier relationships and negotiate rates when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal shipping regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Logistics or Supply Chain is a plus.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain management.
- Proficiency with logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods if required.
