Responsibilities
- Coordinate and track incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Prepare and verify shipping documents, including Bills of Lading (BOL) and commercial invoices.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, warehouse staff, and internal clients regarding shipment status.
- Resolve shipping issues, delays, and discrepancies promptly.
- Manage inventory levels related to outgoing shipments and coordinate with purchasing teams.
- Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) to optimize shipping routes and costs.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal shipping regulations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or freight forwarding.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and transportation software.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of import/export regulations is a plus.
