Responsibilities
- Prepare and verify shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
- Coordinate freight pickup and delivery with carriers, ensuring timely transit.
- Monitor shipment status in transit systems and resolve logistical bottlenecks immediately.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipping activities and inventory movements.
- Communicate effectively with internal warehouse teams and external clients regarding shipment status.
- Ensure strict adherence to local, state, and federal shipping regulations and safety standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Transportation preferred.
- 1-2 years of proven experience in shipping, logistics, or freight coordination.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
