Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, scheduling carriers and tracking deliveries to ensure on-time arrival.
- Prepare and verify all shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
- Resolve shipping discrepancies and delays by communicating effectively with carriers and internal departments.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of all shipments, inventory levels, and freight costs.
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure proper packaging, labeling, and handling of goods.
- Assist in the negotiation of rates with new freight partners and maintain vendor relationships.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Logistics or Supply Chain is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in shipping, logistics, or freight forwarding.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) is a strong plus.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs in a warehouse environment.
