Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule domestic and international shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and customs forms.
- Track shipments in real-time and communicate status updates to customers and internal teams.
- Resolve shipping discrepancies, delays, and damage claims efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of shipping logs, inventory, and freight costs.
- Liaise with carriers, freight forwarders, and vendors to negotiate rates and services.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a shipping, logistics, or freight coordination role.
- Strong knowledge of shipping terminology, Incoterms, and freight forwarding processes.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
