Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule domestic and international freight shipments, ensuring optimal carrier selection.
- Prepare and verify all shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and customs clearance papers.
- Track shipments in real-time and proactively troubleshoot any logistical delays or exceptions.
- Liaise with carriers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to resolve shipping issues efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of shipping logs, inventory movements, and delivery receipts.
- Analyze shipping data to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of cargo as needed to ensure warehouse safety standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; Associate’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or freight forwarding.
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Manhattan) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
