Responsibilities
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery to customers.
- Prepare and verify shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and commercial invoices.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, warehouse staff, and clients to provide shipment status updates and resolve any issues.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all shipping activities and inventory movements within our ERP system.
- Resolve shipping discrepancies, handle damage claims, and negotiate with third-party logistics providers when necessary.
- Analyze shipping data to identify trends and recommend process improvements for cost reduction and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal shipping regulations and safety standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a shipping, logistics, or freight forwarding role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems).
- Strong attention to detail with exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods in a warehouse environment.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
