Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule domestic and international shipments with third-party carriers and freight forwarders.
- Prepare, verify, and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and customs forms.
- Monitor shipment status in real-time and proactively resolve any delays or logistics issues to ensure on-time delivery.
- Manage inventory levels by performing regular stock counts and reconciling inbound and outbound materials.
- Communicate effectively with internal operations teams and external vendors to ensure seamless logistics processes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the company’s ERP system.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies regarding hazardous materials and heavy lifting.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in shipping, logistics, or warehousing.
- Proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS) or ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Manhattan) is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Valid driver’s license required.
