Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain multi-horizon strategic foresight frameworks through horizon scanning, trend analysis, and scenario planning
- Lead cross-functional workshops to identify and prioritize emerging technologies with 2026 commercial potential
- Produce high-impact foresight reports and visualizations translating complex futures into strategic imperatives
- Design and execute innovation sprints validating future concepts through rapid prototyping and market testing
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions, research labs, and industry think tanks to accelerate foresight capabilities
- Present future outlooks to executive leadership and boards driving strategic alignment and resource allocation
- Mentor innovation teams in futures thinking methodologies and adaptive strategic planning
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Innovation Management, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic planning, innovation leadership, or futures research with Fortune 500 experience
- Proven track record developing and implementing 5+ year strategic roadmaps
- Expertise in horizon scanning methodologies, scenario planning, and trend analysis frameworks
- Deep understanding of emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech) and societal impact
- Exceptional communication skills translating complex futures into executive narratives
- Published thought leadership in futures studies or innovation strategy (peer-reviewed journals or industry publications)
- Experience with foresight tools like Delphi methods, causal layered analysis, or systems modeling
