Responsibilities
- Analyze global megatrends, technological convergences, and socio-economic indicators to forecast 2026+ landscapes
- Develop strategic frameworks for exponential technologies including AGI, synthetic biology, and quantum internet
- Lead scenario-planning workshops to stress-test organizational readiness for disruptive futures
- Produce forward-looking whitepapers and executive briefings on emerging risks and opportunities
- Partner with R&D teams to translate foresight insights into actionable innovation pipelines
- Establish early-warning systems for technological obsolescence and market discontinuities
- Represent the organization at global futurist forums and thought leadership summits
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Theory, or related quantitative/qualitative field
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or technology forecasting
- Proven expertise in scenario modeling, trend analysis, and horizon scanning methodologies
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies (AI/ML, quantum, biotech, nanotech)
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex futures into executive narratives
- Certification in strategic foresight (e.g., AC/FS, CFIP) preferred
- Portfolio demonstrating published futures research or strategic foresight projects
- Experience with futures forecasting tools (e.g., Delphi method, causal layered analysis)
