Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, load, and unload goods in a timely and efficient manner.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Inspect and maintain forklifts before and after each shift to ensure proper functioning.
- Assist with inventory management by counting, recording, and organizing stock.
- Collaborate with warehouse team members to meet daily production and shipping goals.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
- Maintain accurate records of materials moved and inventory levels.
Qualifications
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA-certified).
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or similar environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, up to 50 pounds.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
