Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move, load, and unload materials safely and efficiently
- Inspect and maintain equipment daily to ensure optimal performance and compliance with OSHA standards
- Manage inventory accurately using warehouse management systems and barcode scanners
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and meet production targets
- Adhere to all safety protocols and report equipment issues or hazards immediately
- Assist in organizing warehouse storage to maximize space utilization and accessibility
- Support cross-functional teams during peak operational periods and inventory audits
Qualifications
- Valid OSHA-certified forklift license or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Minimum 1 year of experience operating sit-down forklifts in a warehouse environment
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices for material handling
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
- Basic computer literacy for inventory management systems
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends if required
