Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely to load, unload, and transport goods within the facility.
- Inspect equipment daily for mechanical issues and report maintenance needs to supervisors immediately.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning items and verifying quantities against shipping orders.
- Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to ensure a hazard-free environment.
- Keep the warehouse floor clean, organized, and free of debris at all times.
- Assist with general warehouse duties, including palletizing, labeling, and order picking as required.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification (Class A, B, or C) is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of recent experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for long periods.
- License: Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
- Skills: Basic computer proficiency for inventory scanning systems.
