Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks in temperature-controlled environments (-10°F to 40°F)
- Monitor and maintain proper inventory levels in refrigerated and frozen storage
- Adhere to strict sanitation and HACCP protocols for food safety compliance
- Perform routine equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
- Coordinate with warehouse team for efficient loading/unloading of perishable goods
- Document temperature logs and inventory movements using warehouse management systems
- Implement safety procedures to prevent workplace injuries in cold environments
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months cold storage or warehouse experience preferred
- Ability to work in extreme cold conditions for extended periods
- Valid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Strong attention to detail with inventory management skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and stand/walk for 8+ hours
- Basic knowledge of food safety regulations (HACCP/SQF)
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent required
