Position Overview
As a Forklift Operator, you'll play a critical role in our warehouse operations, ensuring materials are moved safely and efficiently. This is a physically active position requiring attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move, load, and unload inventory
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems
- Inspect and perform basic maintenance on equipment before/after shifts
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety standards and company policies
- Collaborate with warehouse team to optimize workflow and productivity
- Assist in receiving, stocking, and organizing materials in designated areas
- Report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately
Qualifications
- Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Minimum 1 year of warehouse/forklift experience
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and inventory control
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Basic math skills for inventory documentation
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
- Pre-employment background check and drug screen required
