Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment in warehouse and yard settings
- Load/unload trucks and containers with precision using pallet jacks and hoists
- Inspect equipment daily and report maintenance issues promptly
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and company procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize workflow efficiency
- Train new operators on equipment safety and operational standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of forklift operation experience (certification preferred)
- Valid OSHA forklift certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Basic computer literacy for inventory tracking systems
- Reliable transportation and flexible availability (including weekends)
- High school diploma or equivalent required
