Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Prepare, review, and process all necessary shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and certificates of origin.
- Liaise effectively with carriers, freight forwarders, and internal departments to resolve shipping discrepancies and delays.
- Track cargo status in real-time and provide accurate updates to customers and stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records of shipping logs, inventory, and freight costs.
- Ensure strict compliance with local, state, and federal shipping regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Logistics, Transportation, or a related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of professional experience in shipping, logistics, or freight forwarding.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Manhattan, or similar ERP systems).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on clarity and professionalism.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
