Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily shipping activities across multiple carriers and transportation modes
- Manage documentation including bills of lading, customs forms, and compliance records
- Optimize freight routes and negotiate carrier rates to reduce transportation costs
- Track shipments in real-time and provide proactive status updates to stakeholders
- Resolve shipping discrepancies and address delivery exceptions with urgency
- Collaborate with warehouse, sales, and customer service teams to meet delivery targets
- Maintain compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and international shipping regulations
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in shipping, logistics, or freight coordination
- Proficiency with TMS/WMS systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of Incoterms, LTL/FTL shipping, and customs procedures
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to resolve shipping delays
- High attention to detail with precise documentation management
- Valid Texas driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to work flexible hours including occasional weekends during peak seasons
