Responsibilities
- Loading & Unloading: Safely load and unload shipments from delivery trucks and railcars to ensure timely processing.
- Picking & Packing: Accurately pick items from the warehouse shelves and pack them for shipment using appropriate materials.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory counts using RF scanners and warehouse management software.
- Machinery Operation: Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery safely (certification provided upon hiring).
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a secure work environment.
- Organization: Keep the warehouse floor organized, clean, and free of hazards at all times.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Reliability: A strong work ethic and punctual attendance record are essential.
- Communication: Basic English reading and writing skills for scanning and reporting.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Background: Must pass a background check and drug screen.
- License: Valid driver’s license is preferred but not always required.
