Responsibilities
- Load and Unload: Safely load and unload trucks, trailers, and railcars, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Inventory Verification: Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against packing lists to ensure 100% accuracy.
- Equipment Operation: Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move materials (training provided).
- Organization: Maintain organized storage areas and ensure proper labeling of all inventory.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to OSHA safety standards and company policies to maintain a hazard-free workplace.
- Packaging: Properly pack and palletize products to prevent damage during transit.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the shipping and receiving team to meet daily targets.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when counting and verifying inventory.
- Communication: Basic verbal communication skills to interact with supervisors and team members.
- License: Valid driver's license is a plus.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as needed.
