Responsibilities
- Load and Unload: Safely load and unload freight trucks and containers using provided forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Inventory Management: Assist with scanning products, verifying shipments against packing lists, and maintaining accurate inventory logs.
- Equipment Handling: Perform routine pre-shift inspections on all provided warehouse equipment and report any malfunctions immediately.
- Organization: Stack and organize merchandise in designated storage areas to maximize space and ensure safety compliance.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and warehouse safety standards at all times.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and other warehouse staff to ensure smooth workflow during peak hours.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Equipment Experience: Prior experience operating forklifts (Reach Truck, Counterbalance) or pallet jacks is highly preferred, but training is provided.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when handling inventory and checking shipping documents.
- Communication: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, warnings, and safety rules.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible shifts, including weekends and overtime.
