Responsibilities
- Safely load/unload freight using forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual techniques
- Verify shipment accuracy against manifests and documents
- Maintain organized warehouse storage and inventory systems
- Operate material handling equipment following OSHA standards
- Collaborate with shipping/receiving teams for efficient operations
- Perform routine equipment safety checks and maintenance
- Support inventory counts and cycle counting processes
Qualifications
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and stand for 8+ hours
- Valid Alaska driver's license and clean driving record
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain through training)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer literacy for inventory systems
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Ability to work in cold environments (4-10°C)
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
