Responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping activities
- Manage and develop a team of 15-20 warehouse associates through training, coaching, and performance management
- Implement and maintain safety protocols to ensure OSHA compliance and accident prevention
- Optimize inventory control systems to maintain accuracy and minimize discrepancies
- Coordinate with transportation teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
- Analyze operational metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Conduct regular equipment inspections and coordinate maintenance schedules
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of warehouse management experience in a distribution center setting
- Proven track record of supervising 10+ employees and fostering team development
- Strong knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and warehouse best practices
- Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control methods
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot operational challenges
- Valid forklift certification and familiarity with warehouse equipment operation
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred
