Responsibilities
- Operational Oversight: Manage daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and distributing products efficiently and accurately.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor warehouse staff, fostering a culture of safety, productivity, and accountability.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock counts, and implement procedures to minimize shrinkage and waste.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to OSHA safety standards and company policies to ensure a hazard-free workplace.
- Process Optimization: Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to increase operational efficiency.
- Order Fulfillment: Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate order processing and shipping.
- Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the routine inspection and maintenance of warehouse equipment and forklifts.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite).
- Certifications: Valid Forklift Operator Certification and OSHA 10 or 30 training preferred.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions if applicable to outdoor loading docks.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively lead a diverse team.
- Problem Solving: Excellent analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot operational issues on the fly.
