Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Oversee and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, and order fulfillment to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a secure working environment for all employees.
- Team Management: Mentor, train, and schedule warehouse staff, fostering a positive and productive team culture.
- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and implement procedures to minimize shrinkage and optimize stock placement.
- Equipment Maintenance: Inspect and maintain warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring they are in safe working order.
- Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in current workflows and implement innovative solutions to improve throughput and reduce costs.
- Communication: Act as the primary point of contact between warehouse operations and other departments, such as sales and logistics planning.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business preferred.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) and warehouse management software.
- Certifications: Valid Forklift Operator Certification and OSHA 10-hour General Industry certification.
- Leadership: Proven track record of leading teams effectively and handling conflict resolution.
- Detail Oriented: Ability to maintain high accuracy standards in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, or overtime as needed.
