Responsibilities
- Operational Oversight: Direct and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping to ensure 100% order accuracy and timely delivery.
- Team Leadership: Mentor, train, and supervise a diverse team of warehouse associates, fostering a positive, safety-first, and productive work environment.
- Inventory Management: Implement and monitor inventory control procedures, conducting regular cycle counts and audits to minimize shrinkage and maximize asset utilization.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to OSHA safety regulations and company policies, conducting safety inspections and leading safety meetings to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Process Improvement: Identify operational bottlenecks and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and streamline workflow.
- Equipment Management: Maintain a clean, organized facility and ensure proper care and maintenance of all warehouse equipment and machinery.
- Reporting: Generate and analyze operational reports to provide management with accurate data on performance metrics, labor costs, and productivity.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Certifications: Valid Forklift Operator Certification (CP or equivalent) is required.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus.
- Skills: Strong proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
- Leadership: Proven track record of leading teams effectively, handling conflict resolution, and driving performance metrics.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift in various weather conditions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
