As a key member of our management team, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our warehouse processes, managing inventory levels, and mentoring our staff to achieve operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, stocking, and inventory control to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Team Management: Hire, train, schedule, and supervise a diverse team of warehouse staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols and OSHA regulations to maintain a hazard-free workplace for all employees.
- Process Improvement: Identify operational bottlenecks and implement solutions to streamline workflows and reduce waste.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and manage returns and discrepancies.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all warehouse equipment, including forklifts and shelving, is maintained and in safe working condition.
- Reporting: Generate and analyze reports on warehouse performance metrics, labor costs, and inventory variance.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Logistics or Business preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Safety Certification: Current OSHA 30-hour certification or equivalent safety training is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Licensure: Valid forklift operator certification and ability to obtain/hold a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) if required by site.
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities; ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
