Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Direct and mentor a team of warehouse associates, ensuring high performance, productivity, and adherence to company policies.
- Inventory Management: Oversee receiving, stocking, and shipping processes to ensure 100% inventory accuracy and timely order fulfillment.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to OSHA safety standards, conduct daily safety audits, and implement corrective actions to maintain a hazard-free environment.
- Process Optimization: Identify areas for operational improvement and implement lean warehousing strategies to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
- Staff Scheduling: Create and manage work schedules to optimize workflow, ensuring adequate coverage during peak hours.
- Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate the maintenance and inspection of forklifts and material handling equipment to prevent downtime.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse management or supervisory roles within the logistics industry.
- Leadership: Proven track record of leading teams and managing conflict effectively.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) such as SAP, Oracle, or Manhattan Associates.
- Certifications: Valid forklift certification and OSHA 10 or 30 training preferred.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in varying temperature conditions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to write detailed reports and safety documentation.
