Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Oversee daily receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping operations to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and implement strategies to minimize shrinkage and improve accuracy.
- Team Management: Recruit, train, coach, and mentor warehouse staff to maintain high morale and productivity standards.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols and OSHA regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in workflow and implement process improvements to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.
- Equipment Maintenance: Schedule routine maintenance for forklifts and material handling equipment, ensuring all machinery is in optimal working condition.
- Reporting: Generate and analyze operational reports to provide management with insights into performance metrics.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse management or logistics supervision.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or Business preferred.
- Certifications: Valid Forklift Operator Certification and OSHA 30-hour certification is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) such as SAP, Manhattan, or HighJump.
- Leadership: Strong track record of leading cross-functional teams and driving operational excellence.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
