Responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse operations to ensure efficient workflow, timely order fulfillment, and accurate inventory management.
- Manage and mentor a team of warehouse staff, conducting regular performance reviews and providing training on safety procedures.
- Ensure strict adherence to OSHA safety standards and company policies to maintain a hazard-free working environment.
- Monitor stock levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and resolve discrepancies in the warehouse management system.
- Coordinate with other departments such as procurement and sales to forecast inventory needs and streamline logistics.
- Maintain and inspect warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring all machinery is in safe working order.
- Implement and continuously improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maximize productivity and reduce costs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business Administration is preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management software and warehouse management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Manhattan).
- Valid Forklift Operator Certification is required; ability to obtain certification if not currently held.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively under pressure.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
