Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and your team.
- Manage inventory by accurately scanning items, verifying stock levels, and maintaining organized storage areas.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and report any mechanical issues to the supervisor immediately.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely processing of shipments and efficient workflow during peak hours.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace to prevent accidents and ensure operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Valid Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant) is required.
- High school diploma or GED is preferred but not always mandatory.
- Previous warehouse experience in a material handling role is a plus.
- Ability to work weekends (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday) consistently.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Basic computer literacy for scanning and inventory tracking systems.
