Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse and loading docks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by adhering to all 5S principles and safety regulations.
- Inspect forklift equipment for any mechanical issues or damage and report them to management immediately.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including stock counting, tagging, and rotation.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all shipping and receiving activities.
- Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily productivity targets.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant) required.
- Experience: Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting is preferred.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in varying temperatures.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail and the ability to read and comprehend safety instructions.
- Availability: Willingness to work part-time hours, including weekends or nights as needed.
