Responsibilities
- Lead horizon-scanning initiatives to identify emerging technologies (AI, quantum, biotech) and geopolitical shifts impacting our industry by 2026
- Develop scenario-based strategic frameworks for long-term product roadmaps and market positioning
- Partner with R&D and product teams to integrate future-focused innovations into development pipelines
- Author thought leadership content including trend reports, whitepapers, and conference presentations
- Establish cross-functional innovation labs to prototype 2026-relevant solutions
- Advise executive leadership on future-proofing organizational capabilities and talent strategies
- Build and maintain a global network of futurists, technologists, and industry disruptors
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futurism, Strategic Planning, Technology Forecasting, or related field; PhD preferred
- 7+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or technology foresight with Fortune 500 experience
- Proven track record of translating future trends into executable business strategies
- Deep expertise in emerging technologies (AI/ML, quantum computing, synthetic biology, Web3)
- Exceptional scenario planning and systems thinking capabilities
- Published thought leadership in futurism or innovation (e.g., HBR, MIT Tech Review)
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (e.g., APF, Foresight Practitioner) strongly preferred
