Responsibilities
- Develop 3-5 year strategic roadmaps for emerging technologies (quantum AI, neural interfaces, sustainable tech)
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping and validating next-gen solutions
- Partner with Fortune 500 clients to future-proof their digital infrastructure
- Author white papers and thought leadership on tech disruption trends
- Secure $5M+ in R&D funding through government and private partnerships
- Mentor junior researchers in cutting-edge methodologies
- Represent the company at global tech summits and policy forums
Qualifications
- PhD or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or Physics
- 10+ years in R&D leadership with proven commercialization of futuristic tech
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, AI ethics, or bio-integrated systems
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Track record of securing federal/state innovation grants
- Proficiency in futures forecasting methodologies (e.g., Delphi, scenario planning)
- Experience building and scaling high-impact technical teams
- Portfolio of patented technologies or industry-shifting innovations
