Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks in sub-zero (-20°F) environments with precision and safety
- Manage inventory rotation and product handling in refrigerated zones
- Maintain strict compliance with HACCP and FDA cold chain protocols
- Perform quality control checks on perishable goods and packaging integrity
- Utilize WMS systems for real-time inventory tracking and documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize loading/unloading workflows
- Adhere to OSHA safety standards for cold stress and equipment operation
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year cold storage or refrigerated warehouse experience
- Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to withstand extreme cold temperatures for extended periods
- Basic knowledge of food safety and temperature monitoring systems
- Physical capability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and work in standing position
- Proficiency in warehouse management software (e.g., Oracle, Manhattan)
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications preferred
