Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain optimal temperature conditions in refrigerated/freezer zones (-20°F to 45°F)
- Safely operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and cold storage equipment
- Accurately inventory and organize perishable products using FIFO methods
- Adhere to HACCP and food safety protocols for cold chain integrity
- Perform quality checks on incoming/outgoing perishable shipments
- Maintain detailed logs of temperature deviations and corrective actions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for efficient dock operations
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year cold storage or refrigerated warehouse experience
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work in sub-zero temperatures for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and inventory management skills
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly with proper technique
- Basic computer proficiency for inventory systems
- Valid Texas Driver's License
