Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks in refrigerated environments (-10°F to 40°F)
- Inspect, sort, and package perishable goods according to safety protocols
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems
- Sanitize equipment and facilities to comply with FDA/USDA standards
- Coordinate loading/unloading of trucks with precision and efficiency
- Monitor temperature logs and report equipment malfunctions
- Adhere to OSHA safety guidelines in all cold storage operations
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year warehouse or cold storage experience preferred
- Valid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work in sub-zero temperatures for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic math and computer literacy for inventory tracking
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Flexible schedule availability including nights/weekends
- Background check and pre-employment drug screen required
