Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move refrigerated products within -10°F to 40°F environments
- Inspect and maintain cold storage equipment including temperature monitors and humidity controls
- Execute inventory management systems using RF scanners and warehouse management software
- Adhere to HACCP and FDA protocols for food safety and sanitation standards
- Coordinate cross-functional teams for efficient loading/unloading of refrigerated trailers
- Conduct routine safety audits and report equipment malfunctions immediately
- Maintain accurate documentation for lot tracking and quality control compliance
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year warehouse or cold storage experience preferred
- Valid OSHA forklift certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to work in sub-zero temperatures for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail with inventory management skills
- Basic proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Commitment to strict safety protocols in refrigerated environments
- High school diploma or equivalent required
