Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks in temperature-controlled environments (-10°F to 45°F)
- Inspect and maintain refrigeration equipment per safety protocols
- Manage inventory using WMS systems in cold storage zones
- Coordinate loading/unloading of refrigerated trucks with precision timing
- Enforce HACCP compliance and food safety standards
- Conduct quality control checks on perishable goods
- Train new associates on cold storage procedures
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year cold storage or refrigerated warehouse experience
- Valid OSHA Forklift Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work in sub-zero temperatures for extended periods
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS)
- OSHA 10/30 certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly with proper technique
- Strong attention to detail in inventory control
- Flexible availability including nights/weekends
