Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks in refrigerated environments (-10°F to 40°F)
- Inspect, sort, and inventory perishable goods (produce, dairy, frozen foods)
- Maintain strict compliance with HACCP and FDA food safety protocols
- Load/unload trailers using efficient stacking techniques
- Document inventory movements via WMS systems
- Conduct daily equipment safety inspections
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for timely order fulfillment
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year warehouse or cold storage experience
- OSHA Forklift Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
- Availability for rotating shifts (including nights/weekends)
- Basic computer literacy for inventory systems
- Food Handler's Permit preferred
- Strong attention to detail and safety protocols
- Ability to work in sub-zero temperatures for extended periods
