Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain optimal temperature/humidity levels in refrigerated zones
- Operate electric pallet jacks and forklifts in frozen/cool environments
- Execute inventory rotation using FIFO (First-In-First-Out) protocols
- Conduct quality inspections of perishable goods upon receipt
- Adhere to HACCP and OSHA safety standards in cold conditions
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory tracking
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for efficient loading/unloading
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year cold storage or refrigerated warehouse experience
- Valid OSHA forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work in temperatures below 45°F for extended periods
- Basic computer literacy with inventory software experience
- OSHA 10-Hour General Industry certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly with proper techniques
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Pass background check and pre-employment physical
