Responsibilities
- Maintain optimal temperature conditions in refrigerated warehouses (-10°F to 40°F)
- Operate electric pallet jacks and forklifts in cold environments
- Inspect and document equipment performance in refrigeration units
- Adhere to HACCP and FDA food safety protocols
- Manage inventory in temperature-controlled zones using WMS systems
- Conduct routine safety audits and emergency response drills
- Coordinate with quality assurance team for product integrity
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years cold storage or refrigerated warehouse experience
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain
- Forklift certification (valid or ability to obtain)
- Ability to work in sub-zero temperatures for extended periods
- Basic knowledge of refrigeration systems and thermodynamics
- Strong attention to detail and safety compliance
- Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and stand for 8+ hours
- High school diploma or equivalent required
